29-May ~ Young heart
This restaurant was located just next to the Pulau Tikus Market. Unlike the other restaurant, this restaurant was indeed a double storey landed property; hence, the parking was not ample at all. You may end up parked out of the restaurant nearby the roadside if the parking was FULL.
It was this signboard that really grasps my interest. At 1st glance, it was very clean and fresh where there’s a lime-colored heart blossoming from beneath. And the next thing that comes to mind was hale and hearty food!!Upon entered, there was a section where we will need to sit on the floor. And we were seated of coz in heart-shaped-of-pinkish-cushion… LOL… everything seems very comfy. 1st to serve was this Warm Honey Lemon and the table was all set for the food to serve. We were served with a saucer with 3 types of garnishing committee; some XO sauce, some vinegar with shredded gingers and some fried shallots. What is the practice?? Do stay tune…This was the Hot and Spicy soup. This is the thick soup where something similar with the Szechuan Soup which I savor before. They put lots of small cubes of tofu, shredded crab sticks and small cubes of Shitake mushroom. And the taste, just as the name, spicy and sour at the same time. Really a bon appetite for appetizers’!! RM3.5 for 1 pax.
Next to come to sight was, spring roll alike dish. Instead of using popia skin, they used the layer made of rice flour. This thin and translucent skin was used to wrap some fresh lettuce, carrot slice and some shredded egg. Do dip this with some Thai Chili sauce, and you will fell in love instantly. Then it was this Fried Gyoza a.k.a Fried Dumplings. Normally, the Gyoza’s skin were freshly made and then was enfolded up with some chopped meat, some Kuchai, and some green pepper. These lovely dumplings were then slightly grilled in the pan. This is where the saucer of garnishing thingy comes in handy. You will need to take the dumplings with dips of the vinegar with finely shredded ginger, some XO sauce and some fried shallots.
YUMM!! RM8.4 We have ordered this BBQ rib with Fried rice. RM9.8 per plate. The fried rice were stir fried with some eggos and served with some ribs marinated in BBQ sauce (or better define as Char Siew sauce). The serving would be better if served in HOT.
This was mine favorite dish for the night. Fried Spinach Tofu. Spinach were chopped finely and mixed with the homemade tofu and deep fried for the excellent sensation. RM4.8 per plate. As for dessert, we have this Mango and Dragon fruit snowy. RM6.6 per bowl. Puree of mango was crushed with lots of ice and finally added some bites of Dragon fruit. Not sweet eniugh though.. Overall, this place do served vigorous and fresh food. Hence, those who preferred strong taste will definitely assumed this is not the right place for them.
